"I joined this society because I want to do the most I can in this fight for the environment.
I’ve experienced many different societies at LSE at I think sustainable futures has a real practical impact on sustainability at the university which really inspired me as I believe I can make a true difference!" |

"I entered SFS through the old plastic project, through the fund application process we were able to deliver several projects that have had a postive, tangible impact on the LSE campus.
With the need for climate and enviornmental action only growing, it is a pleasure to help and contribute to a society that is at the forefront of LSE's work within sustainability. We hope envigirate and mobilise the students of LSE with more exciting project opportunities thrughout the year. |

" While climate change is the most pressing issues our generation is facing, national leaders still do not adequately acknowledge or encourage the need for change. Therefore, I am proud to the Secretary of a society which actually has an impact on sustainability at LSE.
I was born and raised in Germany, and apart from environmentalism I love doing dancing, being creative and exploring new places. |

" One of the more frustrating aspects of the climate crisis is that we seem to have the knowledge, ideas and ability to ameliorate many of the effects, but these ideas are severely underfunded. I was drawn to SFS because we aim to confront this problem at LSE, which gives us real opportunities for impact. As treasurer this year, I want to make it even easier for good ideas to be funded and executed.

"I have long been intrigued by the idea of sustainable development and how we can balance taking care of the planet and making practical changes to our lives. This society is giving us all an opportunity to take guided action regarding the LSE community and beyond, as sustainability continues to be such a hot topic.
I am really looking forward to committing myself to projects and events which raise awareness of both problems and solutions surrounding sustainability. We all have the potential to be more sustainable, and I cannot wait to support the Society’s venture for this to be realised" |

"Sustainable Futures unlocks a pathway for LSE to be more environmentally aware. Having experienced the creation of The Great Plastic Divestment in my first-year of university, I have connected my passion for the arts and marketing alongside my desire for environmental sustainability.
Now as the Social Media Manager alongside the project position, I am excited to continue advocating for our society events and projects, making a difference for LSE!” |
