This year promises to be an exciting one. We are organising new events, collaborating with other societies, and continuing with some of SFS's great commitments from previous years,

​24th January 2020: Presentation by the President of The Animal Fund (TAF)
15:00-16:00 at NAB.1.14

Launched in 2015 in France and Monaco, TAF - The Animal Fund is a non-profit organization which aims to protect, help and save dolphins and whales which are victims of maltreatment, massacre, pollution, sonar testing and overfishing. The presentation will provide a contextual overview of the establishment, progression and missions of the association, as well as introduce the first campaign TAF will tackle in London: plastic. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness and inform about the dangers of single-use plastic to the ocean and its marine life, as well as to human health. The campaign also aims promotes a plastic-free life by presenting alternatives to plastic in a consumerist society.

11th February 2019: The Food Waste Business
18:00-19:00 at 32LG.03

Join us on for an evening of tasting and discussion with three exciting start-ups centered around sustainable foods and food waste !

Too Good to Go, Toast and Rubies in the Rubble have accepted our invitation to talk about their companies, their vision of sustainability and how their businesses plays a role in it. We will also be discussing food waste in London and big metropolis, followed by any questions you may have.

Finally, we will have a beer tasting session provided by Toast, one of the companies present during the event !

If you are interested in sustainability, entrepreneurship, foods and drinks or simply in having an interesting evening, then come down to 32LG.03 at LSE !

​​12th December 2018: Run & Collect
12:30-13:30 meet up at Cafe 54 (NAB ground floor)

Run & Collect, or "Plogging", is the combination of jogging and collecting trash you encounter on the street. Through this event, we want to 
clean up the streets of London while raising awareness of the growing problems surrounding pollution and waste production. So get your sportswear ready and join us to clean up the city ! Protection gloves and garbage bags will be provided.
