Sustainable Projects Fund
The Fund
The Sustainable Projects Fund (SPF or the fund) was established by the Sustainable Futures Society, with the express permission of the school's Environmental Leadership Group (ELG). The ELG is chaired by the LSE Director and determines the environmental policy for the university.
The Sustainable Futures Society administers the fund, which is aimed both at advancing sustainability at the LSE and at engaging our campus community in sustainability efforts. It places emphasis on carbon management, biodiversity, waste reduction, sustainable agriculture, sustainable water use, social improvement, education and awareness and sustainable development.
The Sustainable Projects Fund is funded with revenue from the Water Bottle Tax, introduced on campus in 2008.
Applications
Staff and students of the LSE are invited to apply for up to £20,000 of funding for projects relating to sustainability on the LSE campus. Applications for the 2015-2016 school year cycle are available starting on Sunday, November 8th, 2015. DEADLINE for applications: Saturday 23rd January 2016. Please write to us at sustainable.futures.lse@gmail.com to get more information and download the application from this website.
Winners
