Parasitical Energy Harvesting

As an academic research institution with a strong commitment to sustainability issues, the LSE should be on the forefront of testing new renewable energy technologies.  Parasitical energy harvesting tiles installed on pavements allow people's footfall to be captured as energy.  Our project winner is in talks with the company Pavegen to install a small pilot or demonstration project in order to test the technology's potential for use on our campus.
